Although 10 percent of breast cancer are
hereditary, lifestyle has a huge impact on the disease. It's
important for people to understand that factors such as diet and
exercise can increase the risk of breast cancer. Ninety percent of
cases of breast cancer are linked to lifestyle. By making the right
choices, you can cut down the risk of developing breast cancer.
The 10 point check list as follow:

Step on the weight scale, watch your
weight and calorie intake. Shed some kilos if you are over weight.

Sweat it out! Exercise more, include at
least three hours of exercise per week.

Go slow on the moonshine! Limit your
alcohol intake. Each drink you take on a daily basis increases your
breast cancer risk by sever percent.

Color it up, eat a wide variety of
vegetables and fruits of all colors. Aim for five portions a day.

Limit intake of saturated and trans fat
by cutting down on fatty meat, high-fat dairy products, cakes,
biscuits, crisps and many margarines.

Not all fat is bad - load up only oily
fish, avocado, rapeseed, walnut, and olive oils.

Eat lots of fish. Fish is high in
vitamin D, A and omega 3 fats.

Include low-fat dairy products like
yoghurt, low-fat milk and cottage cheese. These food are also high
in calcium and vitamin D.

Eat more whole grain and less refined,
starchy foods. Whole grains promote hormones in the body and boost
intake of selenium and vitamin E.

Tone down on well-done barbecues meats.
Evidence is growing that the charred bits contribute to the risk of
cancer.
